Join our networking event

Following our hugely successful networking event in 2023, we will be hosting another engaging networking event at Flood and Coast on Tuesday 4th June from 17:00 – 18:30.

Join us to hear guest speakers share their experiences and challenges, and explore the theme “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.” We will create a safe space where people feel comfortable sharing challenges around significant issues for women across the FCERM sector and explore what else we can do to:

The Women in FCERM Awards celebrate professionals of all genders and organisations in the flooding and coastal risk management sector, who make a real difference to gender equality in the workplace and across the industry.

Award categories for 2024 will be presented during the ceremony:

Become a WiFCERM Corporate Affiliate Member

Women in FCERM (WiFCERM) is pleased to announce that it will be launching it’s new corporate affiliate membership at Flood and Coast 2024!

We are offering organisations who work in, or support, the FCERM sector, the unique opportunity to become recognised partners in contributing to gender equality across the FCERM sector through our free WiFCERM corporate affiliation membership.  

Becoming a member means you can:

• demonstrate and advance your organisation’s gender equality commitments through our recognised sector-wide platform
• gain early access to WiFCERM networking events, mentoring programme, tools and guidance
• network with other organisations working on gender equality and share learning
• benefit from WiFCERM raising awareness of your commitment through our website, in newsletters and on social media

In return, we ask affiliate members commit to:

• measure and track your progress on achieving gender equality through our baseline survey and annual benchmarking
• raise awareness of WiFCERM and provide staff with the time and support to participate in our networking events and mentoring programme 
• encourage staff to develop individual pledges to improve gender equality
• share your work on gender equality with WiFCERM and other affiliate members
• promote WiFCERM, and our affiliate membership, with your partners, customers, and suppliers
