Join our virtual event

The first virtual Women in FCERM networking event will take place on 8th July from 12:30 – 14:00.

The theme of our event is “we’re all in the same storm but not in the same boat”. We will have three guest speakers discussing challenges which have arisen in the last few months. Our three guests are:

  • Heather Shepherd (National Flood Forum) – The aftermath of flooding amid Covid-19 restrictions
  • Sophie Dunajko (CIWEM) – Coping with living alone during this uncertain time
  • Tim Smith (Severn Trent Water) – New ways of working whilst undertaking caring responsibilities

Women in FCERM Award – now closed

Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination for the Women in FCERM awards. Entries are now closed. Shortlisters will be notified in June 2020 with the winner announced at the Flood and Coast conference in December 2020.

Women in FCERM Award 2020

Is there someone in your professional life who makes a real difference to gender equality in the workplace? If so we want you to nominate them to recognise their achievements for Women in FCERM award 2020.

Who can apply?

We are looking for men and women at all stages of their career across the FCERM sector who has pro-actively influenced and promoted gender balance, diversity and inclusion in their workplace, project or sector.

The 250 word submission should demonstrate what that person has done in last 12 months to truly champion diversity and inspire others. The deadline for submissions is 1st May 2020.

The award will be presented at the Flood and Coast conference 8th – 10th December 2020.
